Join an innovative company! Would you like to help develop new aluminium window, door and sliding systems before they reach the market? In this hands-on role, you will build prototypes, carry out tests and work with R&D to find technically strong solutions. Hydro Building Systems develops innovative aluminium building systems for the European market. In our R&D and test centre in Lichtervelde, you will work closely with international product development and immediately see the results of your work. What will you do? You will prepare aluminium profiles for the CNC machine and assemble windows, doors, sliding systems and verandas. You will build prototypes according to the test file and work with R&D on technical improvements and innovative solutions. You will carry out wind, water and air tightness tests, supplemented by mechanical, burglary-resistance and acoustic tests. You will monitor the test progress, report the results and propose improvements where needed. You will prepare the required materials, coordinate internal and external orders and arrange the related logistics. You will support official internal tests and tests at external certified laboratories. You will work safely and carefully and keep the workshop and test environment orderly. Who are we looking for? You have a technical mindset, enjoy hands-on work and get energy from building and testing new products. Experience is welcome, but not required: school leavers will also have the opportunity to develop in this role with us. What you bring Training in woodworking or metalworking, or an equivalent level through experience. Basic knowledge of mechanics and a practical, solution-oriented approach. Interest in prototypes, product development and technical testing. An accurate and quality-oriented way of working. The motivation to learn and collaborate with colleagues from R&D. Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent knowledge of Dutch and basic knowledge of English and French. Nice to have Experience as a PVC or aluminium joiner. A certificate for overhead crane or forklift operation. What can you expect from us? A full-time permanent contract (38h40 per week). 10 additional ADV days on top of your statutory annual leave.
