Lead EHS Engineer in Astana More than a job: a mission We’re looking for a Lead EHS Engineer to protect the people that keep the trains running. The railways is a hazardous job, and we need our employees to be safe. Your role, your impact Conduct and participate in EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Monitor, control, and support the implementation of corrective actions and follow-up activities related to identified EHS deviations. Oversee and support EHS data management within AZDP and the EHS website, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. Coordinate EHS-related documentation and administrative workflows, including ARIBA, Agreements on Work (AoW), Purchase Requisitions (PR), and Purchase Orders (PO). Monitor and control the EHS budget, including tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization. Coordinate EHS training programs, induction sessions, and competency management processes for employees and contractors. You’ll work with sharp, committed teams across engineering, operations, and design — solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility. What you bring Engineering degree Experience in railways is desirable Excellent communication skills, and good command of English, Russian and Kazakh Risk assessment and procedure codification skills Ready for business trips (Almaty, Arys, Shu, Tobol, Ekibastuz etc.) How success is measured Quality and timeliness of deliverables. EHS KPI improvement Contribution to peer reviews and teamwork.
