About The Role

Position Summary The Senior Advanced Purchasing Specialist is accountable for high performance and electrification programs and the involvement within multi-functional teams to ensure success of program(s) across Light Vehicle Europe plants. Responsibilities • Support successful product launch for new programs with regards to budget, planning, scheduling, stakeholder satisfaction. • Assist in the compilation of the overall program budget for supply chain costs. • Challenge the organization on design to manufacture philosophy which will enable a stable process for serial production and a cost-effective design (VA/VE). • Support regular cross functional Product Launch Team (PLT) meetings to review the program schedule and assign resources to address any open issues. Escalate issues affecting successful Purchasing supply chain delivery. • Distribute, follow up and co-ordinate sourcing and costing tasks within global purchasing organization for more conventional category purchased items, like fasteners, bearings, seals etc. • Procurement and cost modeling of more advanced product specific categories like geared products, aluminum castings and power electronics in line with global commodity strategy. • Responsible for prototype sourcing, launch management, ordering and follow up. • Lead the launch management activities for Purchasing across Advanced Purchasing LV Europe working with Purchasing Programme Managers and Production Buyers to ensure successful build phase parts delivery on each programme. • Identify program risks and establish suitable contingency plans with the team. • Lead the change management within the core team across different platform Main Opportunities and Challanges The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating environment with the possibility to learn about different technologies that apply to a complex product such as Automotive High Performance transmissions and electric drive units. Requirements • University Master Degree in Engineering/Economic • The candidate needs to have a good Purchasing background in structured automotive company (5 years) working within Purchasing environment • Experience with electrical/electronic components or electrified systems is strongly preferred. • Experience in supplier management and cross-functional collaboration. • Exposure to new product development and industrialization processes. Skills Hard skills: Essential: • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain, Procurement and Change Management experience. • Problem solving skills. • Basic negotiations skill • Excellent office package knowledge • Fluent English Considered as a plus: • SAP tool • Experience with global sourcing and supply chain risk management • Familiarity with automotive quality standards (PPAP, APQP) Soft skills: Strategy - Ability to think and act in a strategic way • Can lead & act consistent with the company’s strategy and values • Good decision making and sound judgment • Shows a high degree of intellectual rigor during problem solving Talent – Ability to build and develop talent • Demonstrates ability to develop self. • Shows evidence of continuous learning.
