Forklift Mechanic/Heavy Duty Maintenance

Perform routine preventive maintenance on forklifts according to manufacturer schedules Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic electrical and engine faults using diagnostic tools. . Repair or replace defective components such as brakes, steering systems, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, batteries, and motors. Inspect forklifts to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Conduct operational tests and repairs after repairs to verify proper performance. .Check and adjust tires, chains, bearings and other moving parts Record maintenance activities repairs, inspections and parts used in maintenance logs Order or recommend replacement parts and maintain spare parts inventory. Ensure tools and workshop equipment are maintained in good working condition. Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities. Advise equipment operators on proper forklift operation and basic daily inspections Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Technical certificate, diploma, or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, industrial Maintenance, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of forklifts or other material handling equipment. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and diagnostic procedures. Strong understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
