I. Position Objective The French Finance & Banking Officer serves as the vital link between our regional headquarters and financial institutions across Francophone West Africa. This role ensures the integrity of cash management through precise bank reconciliations and the execution of secure payment operations in a multi-currency environment. II. Key Responsibilities • Regional Bank Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for banks in Francophone West African countries. Retrieve bank statements and manage their timely upload into the corporate management system. • Daily Reconciliation: Perform daily matching and reconciliation of bank statement records against internal company vouchers to ensure zero discrepancies in financial reporting. • Payment Operations: Execute and manage secure payments through Host-to-Host systems and online banking platforms specifically for the Francophone West Africa region. • Cross-Border Communication: Facilitate smooth financial operations by coordinating with regional stakeholders and banking partners in French. III. Candidate Specifications & Requirements Linguistic & Academic Background • Bilingual Proficiency: Mastery of French and English is mandatory. You must be able to use both as daily working languages for technical financial discussions. • Education: A degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, or a related field. Professional Experience • Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of accounting and financial principles. • Industry Experience: Priority will be given to candidates with a background in Treasury/Fund Management or direct experience working within a Banking Institution.
