About The Role
Position Summary: We are looking for a proactive, high-ownership Accounting Lead to take full charge of our financial operations. In the initial phase, you will be the sole person responsible for day-to-day accounting, tax, and reporting tasks. As the company scales, you will build, hire, and lead the accounting and payroll teams. This is a “player-coach” role for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves today and lead the department tomorrow. Salary: L. 40,000.00 Performance Bonus: L. 15,000.00 Key Responsibilities Phase 1: Individual Execution (Hands-on) Full-Cycle Accounting: Perform daily entries, monthly reconciliations, and year-end closings independently. Treasury & Banking: Load payments into bank platforms and manage day-to-day cash flow and liquidity. Tax & Compliance: Prepare and file all local tax reports, manage VAT recovery, and coordinate the annual transfer pricing report. Audit Readiness: Act as the main point of contact for auditors, preparing documentation and supporting inquiries. Systems Setup: Lead implementation of accounting software and reporting tools to automate manual processes. Phase 2: Transition & Strategy Internal Controls: Establish and document internal control frameworks to safeguard assets as operations expand. Budgeting: Lead budget preparation and execution, providing comparative and analytical reports to management. Process Optimization: Standardize accounting procedures to ensure scalability for future team growth. Phase 3: Team Leadership (Future) Team Building: Recruit, onboard, and train accounting and payroll staff. Delegation: Transition from execution to oversight, delegating tasks while ensuring accuracy and performance. Mentorship: Develop and lead the team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Requirements: Experience: 6+ years in accounting, with exposure ranging from bookkeeping to complex tax compliance. Expertise: Strong knowledge of local tax laws, VAT recovery, and transfer pricing. Tech-Savvy: Experience implementing ERP systems or accounting software. Mindset: Builder mentality—comfortable working independently at first, with the ability to grow into a leadership role. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
