About The Role

Overview Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (LTCA) needed for a travel temporary assignment in a long-term care setting in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date: 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,395-$1,463 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: Rotating. Facility type: LTC - Nursing Home (skilled nursing/ICF environment). Hawaii license in good standing and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required by start of assignment. Onboarding requires arrival the Thursday before the start date for employee health and related screenings. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $1,395-$1,463 per week - Guaranteed hours: none - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Rotating; five days per week with possible weekend day and potential unit/facility floating - Start date: 09/14/2026 - Facility/work setting: Long-term care facility (skilled nursing/ICF environment) Responsibilities - Provide rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing facility or intermediate care facility setting under applicable scope of practice - Perform evaluations, reassessments, treatments, and other clinical services consistent with licensure and discipline - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising therapist, physician, and interdisciplinary team - Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions to maximize function, independence, mobility, swallowing, communication, and quality of life as applicable - Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and progress - Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation; document progress, changes in plan of care, and discharges per facility, state, federal, and payer requirements - Supervise therapy assistants when applicable to the role - Remain available to work Hawaii state and Federal holidays as necessary Requirements - Current Hawaii license in good standing appropriate to the discipline; active by start of assignment - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Minimum two (2) years of SNF/ICF experience preferred - Ability to work in a skilled nursing/ICF setting and participate in rotating shift coverage - Hawaii-specific onboarding requirements include timely arrival for employee health clearances Find more opportunities Interested in other roles?
