Senior Digital Developer

As our highly valued Senior Digital Developer based in Brisbane, your role will develop and enhance our customer-facing digital channels, delivering secure, scalable and intuitive experiences across mobile, web and digital platforms. You’ll make an impact by: Developing and enhancing customer-facing applications across Mobile Banking, Website and digital platforms Designing, building and maintaining secure, scalable front-end and back-end solutions that improve customer experiences Collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver features aligned to the Bank's Digital Roadmap and Technology Strategy Championing development best practices, code quality and continuous improvement across the Customer Channels team Supporting application performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements to improve platform stability Developing automated testing and deployment solutions to improve delivery quality and efficiency Producing technical designs, solution documentation and implementation plans for new initiatives Coaching and supporting team members while contributing to an Agile, high-performing engineering culture Do things differently with us This is an opportunity to help shape the digital experiences our customers rely on every day. Working as part of our Customer Technology, Data and AI team, you'll develop the platforms that power mobile banking, online banking and other customer-facing digital channels. To succeed in this role, you will have: At least five years' experience in software development, application development or application support Strong experience developing customer-facing applications using JavaScript and modern web technologies. Java/Springboot is desirable but not essential. Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, RESTful APIs, API gateways and secure application design Experience with Git, software architecture principles and modern development practices Knowledge of Android and iOS platforms. Experience working with cloud-hosted platforms and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues Experience working within Agile delivery teams and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams A proactive mindset with a passion for quality, innovation and delivering exceptional customer outcomes
