Senior Finance Manager/ Finance Controller

Job Purpose / Scope

To lead the Finance Team providing the full range of financial support, reporting and services to support the efficient and effective running of the organisation and the delivery of its work.

Responsible for the maintenance of accurate financial records, budgeting, cost control, cash flow, monthly reporting across the organisation.

Detailed Responsibilities

Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to optimize financial results.

Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets.

Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.

Manage cash flow, including forecasting and ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives.

Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.

Prepare financial data and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations.

Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.

Any other ad-hoc task shall be assigned by the superior from time-to-time.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance / Accounting / ACCA or equivalent.
• Min 10 years of working experience in the related field is required.
• Proven experience in financial management, preferably in oil & gas or related industry.
• In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with other departments and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced spreadsheet applications.
