Local Truck Driver - Class A / 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday 2:00PM - 10:30PM)

PAY

Up to $27.00 - $30.00 per hour (Depending on experience) (Weekly Pay)

HOURS

Monday-Friday; 2:00PM - 10:30PM (May vary dependent on workload)

TITLE

: In-Town Class A Driver

LOCATION

13930 Missouri Bottom Rd. Bridgeton, Missouri 63044

RESPONSIBILITIES

Load and unload truck either individually or with assistance of dockworkers

Drive tractor-trailer in all weather conditions

Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight

Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods

Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy

Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials

Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations

Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.

Participates in required on-call rotation for after hours and weekend deliveries

Other duties as assigned daily

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement within 60 days of hire
• Successfully pass background check, drug screen, and physical ability test
• Knowledge of local geographical area
• Able to converse with customers and warehouse workers professionally
• Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to use a mobile computer/GPS
• Ability to work an average of 45 hours per week
• Regular and reliable attendance

Education and Experience

• Must have at least 3 years of Class A driving experience
• Class A CDL license
• Clean driving record, required

Physical Requirements

• Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, grasping, and feeling
• Repetitive sitting
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Occasional
• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled warehouse
• This position reports to the General Manager
