About the Role The primary responsibility of this position is to perform maintenance and repair of plumbing systems across campus and ensure they are kept in an operable and reliable condition at all times What You'll Do Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position. Work under the supervision of the plumbing department with primary responsibility and ownership in the maintenance and repair or replacement of: Campus water mains Campus sewer mains Faucets, valves, shower heads, mixing valves, etc. Hot, tempered and cold water systems Water heaters and water softeners Water closets, urinals, lavatories, bathtubs, and other fixtures All drains, traps, waste and vent lines Sump pumps, roof drain systems and campus surface water drainage systems Installation and repair of all piping systems related to plumbing Miscellaneous Make recommendations for needed repairs, replacements, or new systems Provide care and security of all tools and plumbing equipment assigned to this trade Assist Welder in fabrication and repairs of various equipment on campus Assist Kitchen tech in repairs and maintenance of kitchen equipment Maintain availability for call back to perform emergency or critical repairs. This “on call” schedule will require on call duty approximately three to four times a year. When designated "on call" must be able to report to campus within 30 minutes of receiving call.
