As a Dental Assistant you will: Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies Collects and records patient health histories and x-rays Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff Assist administrative team with customer service functions Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year of dental assisting experience required Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred but not required Previous customer service or office experience Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills Foster a positive attitude and be a team player Patient Care Hours: Monday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Why Wausau?
