This role offers the opportunity to lead people, strengthen client relationships, and drive operational excellence across our geospatial service <offering.As> a senior leader within the business, you will support the strategic direction of the department while ensuring high-quality project delivery, strong team performance, and consistent client satisfaction. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee operational performance, contribute to business growth, and support the continued development of Vision Survey's geospatial capabilities.This role would suit an established Survey Manager looking to take the next step in their career or a senior surveying professional with significant leadership experience seeking greater responsibility and influence within a growing organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day operations across the geospatial division, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfactionAllocate resources effectively and support managers and team leaders with project planning and coordinationEnsure compliance with company procedures, quality standards and industry best practiceSupport the Senior Leadership Team with project oversight, performance monitoring and risk managementAct as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations are metSupport business growth through client engagement, lead generation and development of new opportunitiesPrepare and review quotations for geospatial projectsCoordinate responses to tenders, frameworks, PQQs and ITTs alongside the Commercial TeamManage client change requests and commercial discussions as requiredRepresent Vision Survey at industry events, client meetings and networking opportunitiesLead, mentor and develop surveying teams, supporting technical development and career progressionManage performance reviews, one-to-one meetings, training plans and holiday approvalsPromote a positive, collaborative and high-performing team cultureMonitor project performance, utilisation and profitability against agreed targetsSupport forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting activitiesContribute to recruitment planning and resource forecastingChampion innovation, digital workflows and continuous improvement initiativesSupport quality audits, compliance reviews and operational improvementsSkills, Knowledge, and Expertise10+ years' experience within the geospatial industryPrevious experience in a Survey Manager, Operations Manager or senior leadership roleExtensive experience managing survey teams and geospatial operationsStrong technical knowledge across surveying equipment, software, quality assurance processes and site coordinationProven ability to build and maintain strong client relationshipsCommercial awareness with an understanding of project performance, utilisation and profitabilityExperience with forecasting, cost control and commercial reportingExcellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to travel regionally for client meetings and operational requirementsFull UK driving licence and right to work in the UKSalary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive range of benefits including:Hybrid working26 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with length of serviceCompany Pension SchemePension Salary Sacrifice SchemeEmployee Assistance Scheme (Wisdom)Mobile phone allowance of £20 per month or company phoneSocial fund of £15 per person per month for team building and social activitiesLife Insurance (3x annual salary)Vitality Health Insurance following successful completion of probation, including rewards and discounts on gym memberships, cinema tickets, coffee, shopping and hotelsProfessional development and training opportunitiesPaid professional membershipsEmployee recognition scheme with £20, £50 and £100 One4All vouchers and personalised thank you cardsOne paid volunteering day per yearCycle to Work SchemeSeason Ticket Loan SchemeVision Survey is an equal opportunities employer with the aim of providing a diverse and inclusive environment.
