Position ID: Worker Category: , Location: We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Head of Procurement Services & Production Equipment – Asia . In this role, you will lead procurement activities related to services, production equipment, and injection molding tools across the region, driving both operational excellence and strategic initiatives aligned with global organizational goals. This position offers the opportunity to shape supplier strategies, ensure quality and compliance, and lead a high-performing regional procurement team. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a regional procurement team, with responsibility for services, production equipment, and tool procurement commodities. Develop and execute commodity strategies in line with global roadmaps, with a focus on cost reduction, localization, and supplier development. Manage regional escalations with suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Ensure seamless communication between regional plants, internal customers, and global procurement teams. Drive supplier selection, evaluation, and development processes, emphasizing a “zero complaint” and compliance-focused approach. Support the development and optimization of procurement processes and workflows across Asia. Prepare and participate in regional sourcing committees and oversee the contract review process. Monitor market and competitor trends to inform procurement and sourcing decisions. Support strategic planning, process improvements, and budget management within the procurement function. Travel as needed within China and internationally. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher; 8–10 years of experience in procurement, quality management, or related fields, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong technical understanding of production equipment, services, and/or injection molding processes. Solid knowledge of the China market and supplier landscape. Demonstrated negotiation skills, analytical ability, and experience in supplier management. Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (written and spoken). Leadership experience with the ability to develop teams and collaborate across cultures and functions. Proactive, strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
