Role description

As a Portfolio & Sensory Analyst, you will play a key role in driving product innovation and business growth by evaluating flavour performance, analyzing product portfolios, and generating market insights. Through sensory evaluation and portfolio analysis, you will ensure our products meet consumer expectations, align with market trends, and support strategic business decisions.

Your Mission

Develop & Maintain Flavour Portfolio Mapping

Build and manage flavour portfolio mapping for each product application by utilizing the company's flavour database, ensuring an organized portfolio that supports product development and commercial activities.

Drive Sensory Evaluation Excellence

Collaborate with the Global team to implement and standardize sensory evaluation methodologies, ensuring reliable, consistent, and scientifically sound evaluation practices.

Conduct Market & Industry Intelligence

Perform continuous market research and industry analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and business opportunities that support innovation and strategic business growth.

Support Customer Innovation Projects

Develop technical presentations and innovation concepts that showcase flavour solutions and create value for customers and business partners.

Standardize R&D Knowledge & Processes

Establish and maintain standardized knowledge sharing, documentation, procedures, and best practices across the R&D department to improve collaboration and operational efficiency.

Evaluate Flavour Portfolio Performance

Conduct organoleptic assessments of aromatic raw materials and flavour products to ensure portfolio quality, consistency, and alignment with market expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in chemistry, data analysis, and/or sensory evaluation.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, presentation, and design software (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Illustrator).
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English; German proficiency is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Flavour & Fragrance, Pharmaceutical, or Food & Beverage industry is preferred.
  • Strong interest in flavour innovation, product development, and market trends.
