Associate - Technical Business Analyst - FCS IT - Beijing/Shanghai

Job Description Summary A career as a Technical Business Analyst in Information Technology within Internal Firm Services offers you the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that boost efficiency and deliver high-quality services to our clients. You will combine business analysis expertise with hands-on development skills to design, build, and optimize both client-facing and internal applications that drive the firm's strategic growth. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will translate business needs into technical specifications, draft clear requirement documents, and take on hands-on development work — building prototypes, developing features, and writing or configuring solutions using AI-assisted and low-code tools. Working closely with delivery teams, you'll act as both business translator and hands-on builder, turning ideas into production-ready solutions, faster. Job descriptions and responsibilities: l Deliver end-to-end business solutions aligned with the firm’s overall IT strategy l Collaborate closely with local and remote IT teams to assess the technical and operational feasibility of business requirements, and drive the implementation of system solutions l Leverage basic development background to evaluate technical solution logic, put forward rationalization suggestions, and use AI tools to build simple functional prototypes for requirement validation, reducing communication costs between business and technical teams l Draft standard, comprehensive project documentation, including but not limited to project proposals, requirement specifications, functional specifications, implementation plans, test plans and user guides l Support full-cycle application implementation services and end-to-end project delivery l Organize user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinate production rollout schedules, and provide necessary post-launch user support l Keep track of business development trends across all service lines, and build long-term, trusted partnerships with end users l Explore and recommend emerging technologies to optimize existing IT services, proactively identify lightweight digital tools applicable to firm-wide scenarios, and promote digital awareness among employees l Demonstrate strong business insight to identify potential optimization opportunities and build long-term value for internal and external stakeholders l Lead or participate in full-cycle project management, track project milestones, identify potential risks in the implementation process and propose targeted mitigation solutions l Prepare regular project progress reports for management, and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle Job Requirements: Basic Requirements l Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or other related disciplines l At least 2 years of working experience in business analysis, solution consulting, or software design-related fields l Basic technical development background : Proficient in at least one mainstream development language (e.g., .NET, Java, Python, or Node.js), capable of understanding basic code logic, and able to use AI tools (such as code generation assistants, low-code platforms) to independently complete simple function implementation, prototype verification and other work. l Proven ability to identify business value points and build long-term, effective collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders l Experience in full-cycle project management is highly preferred l Strong analytical ability, logical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand expressions for non-technical audiences l Good business acumen and professional business writing skills l Strong user experience design awareness and high attention to detail l Excellent learning and research capabilities to stay updated with the latest technology trends l Strong team collaboration skills, able to maintain effective communication and good working relationships with cross-regional team members l Excellent organizational and time management skills, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently under pressure l Fluent in both written and spoken English Preferred Qualifications l Experience in UI design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.) l Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases and BI report development l Practical experience using AI tools to assist in requirement sorting, prototype building or simple code development Experience working in professional services firms or internal IT teams of large enterprises is a plus
