Your mission

The Supervisor plant project leads on-site project field execution managing project coordinators I&II, contractors and dealing with stakeholders in order to achieve projects safely, in time and in accordance with project specifications and company policies.

Your profile

You have a strong background in the supervision of technical personnel and construction personnel;

You have an experience in shutdown management (TPSD);

You have a strong construction supervision/ coordination experience;

In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes;

Demonstrated track record of training and developing subordinates to assume positions of greater responsibility in the organization;

Familiarity with CAD Software with strong ability to ready and interpret construction drawings – ability to use MS Project;

Strong relationship building and management skills with a good communication skill – Fluency in English and French;

Strong leadership skills with a focus on continuous improvement;

You have minimum 10 years as project coordinator II of construction coordination/ supervision of contractors/ sub-contractors experience in complex chemical, hydrometallurgical projects or refineries;

You have an engineering degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial or electrical.

Specific Accountabilities

Supervise Ambatovy Project coordinators I & II

Coordinate contractors and consultants during execution works by monitoring and controlling their performance

Coordinate and supervise multiple work areas during the course of a day

Lead all assigned field activities for shutdown period

Identify and solve problem blocking execution in the field or delaying activities

Comfortable in coordinating and supervising multiple complex projects (more than three projects concurrently) in construction phase with the individual value of US$5 M or higher with minimum to no supervision/support

Identify shortcomings and employ work experience to devise potential solutions during project execution.

Assist Project Lead in day to day Project delivery activities

Participate in tendering technical evaluation and offer review assisting Project Lead.

Participate in all meeting with stakeholders

Prepare documents, reports and construction communications as required

Coordinate with other stakeholders during execution to ensure all equipment and material required to complete the works are available

Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all construction methods and material requirements

Assist resolution of site-based design and construction issues efficiently as they arise

Undertake site supervision as required

Maintain healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and standards and complying with legal regulations during execution

Ensure that all Ambatovy FPS and safety standards are applied in the field

Ensure that all documentation is maintained to support company policies, procedures and ISO 9001 requirements, and that all engineering documentation is appropriately filed and archived

Provide mentorship, guidance and coaching of Project Coordinator I and Project coordinator II personnel
