Project Officer (Moral, Civic and National Education) (EDB/CDI/161/26)

Duties

• (a) To organise and evaluate professional development programmes for principals and teachers in relation to national education;
• (b) To coordinate and evaluate school-based support services in relation to national education;
• (c) To organise and evaluate life-wide learning activities in relation to national education;
• (d) To develop learning and teaching resources in relation to national education;
• (e) To organise school networks in relation to national education; and
• (f) To perform any other duties as assigned.

Entry Requirements

(a) A Hong Kong bachelor's degree, or equivalent [See Note (i)];

(b) A certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary educational institution, or equivalent [See Note (i)];

(c) Met the language proficiency requirement of Level 5 or above in the Chinese Language and English Language subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (ii)];

(d) At least 4 years' relevant post-degree [as specified in (a) and (b) above] experience in teaching and/or curriculum development, such as production of learning and teaching resources, organising schools and teachers' networks, organising educational events and conducting educational projects [See Note (iii)];

(e) Good knowledge of local education system and the curriculum reform;

(f) Good command of written English and Chinese;

(g) Fluent in Cantonese, English and Putonghua preferred;

(h) Proficient in computer knowledge and skills, including word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software; and

(i) Be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and good leadership, presentation and collaboration skills.

Pay

$51,545 per month

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidates will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 1 year.
