What you'll do
- -
- Perform structural analysis and design for industrial, commercial, municipal, marine, institutional, residential, and energy projects
- Design a variety of structures, including treatment plants, bulkheads, piers, wharves, bridges, buildings, drainage and water-control structures, marinas, pump stations, monuments, and specialty equipment foundations

- Prepare construction documents, including drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, calculations, technical specifications, and design deliverables
- -
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, local amendments, and project standards
- -
- Perform structural condition assessments of existing structures and prepare detailed reports
- -
- Provide construction administration services, including submittal reviews, site visits, contractor coordination, and responses to technical questions
- -
- Coordinate regularly with clients, project managers, and other design disciplines throughout project delivery

- Perform peer reviews of calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- -
- Mentor and support engineers and engineering interns within the structural department
- -
- Manage project tasks to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) certification strongly preferred
- 8+ years of structural design experience
- Proficiency with structural analysis and finite element modeling software, primarily RISA and SAP2000
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles and experience with concrete, wood, structural steel, and masonry
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Mathcad, Excel, and ENERCALC
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize workflow, and complete tasks within budget
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform field work for assessments and construction observation in a variety of environments
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to periodically travel to other offices
