About The Role
- Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, supports, brackets, frames, and enclosures in accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Interpret fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, bend, shape, and fit metal materials including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, guillotines, presses, and cutting tools.
- Carry out welding, tacking, grinding, and finishing work as required.
- Manufacture and install supports for mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation systems.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure fabricated components meet dimensional and project requirements.
- Assist with site installation and modification works during construction and commissioning phases.
- Maintain accurate fabrication and material records.
- Ensure compliance with project quality standards and customer specifications.
- Adhere to all site health and safety requirements, including permit-to-work systems and safe working practices.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in metal fabrication within industrial construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data centre environments.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel materials.
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, bending, assembling, and fitting fabricated components.
- Experience using a range of fabrication tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a construction environment.
- Previous experience on semiconductor, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or large-scale industrial projects would be an advantage.
