Position Overview The TL - UK Audit plays a pivotal leadership role in managing and delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional client relationship management skills, and the ability to lead complex engagements while driving operational excellence and team development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & People Management Lead and manage a team of Team Leaders and Sr. Executive Drive performance management, succession planning, and talent development. Resolve team conflicts and address low performance promptly. Client & Portfolio Management Auditing accounts Preparation of Financial Statements Computation of Corporation Tax/ Trust Tax. The candidate is required to proactively deal with the Audit Partners and Onshore Managers and give valuable input wherever required. The candidate will be required to perform Audit end to end and set strong foundation with our strategic clients. Oversee multiple client portfolios, ensuring timely delivery and zero escalations. Build strong relationships with onshore teams and clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Manage resource allocation and monitor profitability of audits. Act as the escalation point for client concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Actively participate in governance calls with Client Relationship Managers (CRM) to address client needs and strategic objectives. Manage structured onboarding, smooth transition, and ongoing maintenance of client accounts. Audit Governance & Compliance Ensure audits comply with UK GAAP (FRS 101, FRS 102, FRS 102 1A) and IFRS standards. Supervise audits from planning to completion for UK-based entities. Maintain permanent audit files including KYC, AML checks, and documentation of key controls. Strategic & Operational Excellence Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. Monitor audit quality and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Communicate significant matters with audit partners and draft key audit documents. Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards. Implement best practices to optimize audit processes and enhance efficiency. Own P&L for the UK Audit vertical and drive strategic growth. Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand service offerings, contribute to proposal development, and actively participate in client acquisition initiatives to drive firm growth. Generate farming opportunities with existing clients Key Success Measures Client – Client Satisfaction, Associate Retention and Attraction Financial – Reduced cost-to-serve/optimization, Profitability improvement Operational – Defined Structure, Improved Employee Value Proposition People – Higher associate engagement, lower attrition Education, Skills & Experience ACCA or equivalent professional certification preferred. 5-7 years of progressive audit experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 101, FRS 102, FRS 102 1A) and IFRS and industry-specific regulations. Proven ability to manage complex engagements and lead diverse teams. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Ability to work in high-speed, dynamic environments with stringent timelines. Excellent communication, documentation, and governance discipline. Integrity-driven and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Strong foundation in accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping. Prior team management experience is must. Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex audits. Exposure to audits across industries such as Manufacturing, Services, Retail, LLPs, and Charities etc. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Shift Timings 12:30 PM IST – 10:00 PM IST (Indian Summers) 01:30 PM IST – 11:00 PM IST (Indian Winters)
