Our
California
- division, located in Huntington Beach, seeks a
- CNC Set Up Operator on the 2nd Shift.
Summary
The CNC Setup Operator is responsible for set ups, adjustments, preventative maintenance and operation of computerized numerically controlled (CNC) lathe machines. The successful candidate will be committed to the highest level of integrity, trust and responsibility and bring a hands-on approach to day to day operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
- Change cutters when tools are dull.
- Inform Manager of machine and production problems.
- Perform part inspection checks.
- Attend training activities, as required.
- Participate in continual improvement teams, as required.
- Participate in safety and OSHA training.
- Keep work area clean and tidy at all times.
- Work in an organized manner with attention to details.
- Basic data entry computer skills.
- Ability to understand blueprint reading.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbal in English.
- Help operators with issues.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or receipt of equivalent degree (GED).
Five years of experience working with CNC lathe machines or certification from a trade school.
CNC lathe programming a plus.
Heidenhain controls preferred
Fanuc robotics operation a plus.
