About The Role

Responsibilities Oversee the preparation, review, and finalization of Service Agreements, amendments, and supplementary contracts for new and renewal accounts. Ensure contractual provisions align with approved pricing endorsements, underwriting guidelines, product parameters, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Review and validate complex or non-standard contract provisions and recommend appropriate actions to ensure compliance. Verify contract data, including effective dates, benefit structures, plan configurations, and supporting documentation. Manage the routing, approval, execution, documentation, and safekeeping of contractual agreements. Review Service Agreement Approval Forms (SAAF), comparative reports, and related documents before endorsement for approval. Supervise, coach, and provide technical guidance to Legal Support Supervisors, Associates, and other team members. Monitor workload distribution and ensure the timely and accurate processing of contractual documents. Coordinate with Legal, Sales, Underwriting, Actuarial, Product Development, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to resolve contractual issues and clarify business terms. Support the review and enhancement of contract templates, documentation standards, governance processes, and internal controls. Participate in contractual risk assessments and policy or process improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with governance, risk management, regulatory requirements, confidentiality standards, and company policies. Perform other related duties assigned by the Legal Support Manager. Experience At least 5–7 years of experience in contract management, legal documentation, legal support, or related functions. Experience in the HMO, insurance, healthcare, or financial services industry is highly preferred. Proven experience in reviewing and administering commercial contracts and service agreements. Experience supervising or leading a team responsible for contract preparation, documentation, or legal support is an advantage. Experience coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Sales, Underwriting, Compliance, and Product teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Business Administration, or a related field ; Juris Doctor (JD) is an advantage. Legal background in the HMO and/or insurance industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of contract documentation, legal provisions, and regulatory compliance. Understanding of health benefit structures, product parameters, underwriting principles, and service agreement frameworks. Familiarity with contract templates, legal terminology, documentation control, and records management. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems. Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Effective communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
