In this role, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to turn packaging challenges into robust, value‑adding solutions. You will be a trusted technical partner, supporting existing products and enabling new developments that drive profitable growth. What you will do As an Application Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of customers, sales, and R&D, translating application needs into the right packaging solutions. Your key responsibilities include: Act as a technical expert for packaging applications at customers manufacturing in Healthcare (Medical) markets across EMEA Support customers with standard product selection, application optimization, and effective standard product commercialization Work closely with Sales and Field Technical Service to solve complex application issues Lead and support standard product qualifications, sample testing, and scale‑ups at customer sites Conduct packaging line and performance evaluations to demonstrate quantifiable customer value Capture customer and market insights to identify portfolio gaps, innovation opportunities, and competitive trends Share knowledge internally and contribute to building strong application capabilities across the organization What makes this role exciting High level of customer interaction and real‑world problem solving Strong influence on product success and customer satisfaction Exposure to leading packaging technologies, market trends, and sustainability challenges Daily collaboration with Sales, R&D, Operations, Marketing, and global teams What you bring 5+ years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or similar roles within flexible packaging Healthcare market knowledge and exposure (desired) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Applied) Sciences (Chemistry, Polymers, Material Sciences) or equivalent by experience Strong understanding of packaging materials and customer manufacturing processes Proven ability to assess customer needs and translate them into practical, scalable solutions Solid projec t management, problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills Comfortable working independently in a cross‑functional, international environment Willingness to travel more than 50% Fluent English is required Who you are Customer‑focused and solution‑oriented Curious, proactive, and hands‑on Credible technical partner who builds trust quickly Organized, pragmatic, and able to manage multiple priorities
