DHA Licensing Officer - Professional & Facility Licensing

About The Role
Job Summary
The DHA Licensing Officer is responsible for managing all activities related to healthcare professional licensing and healthcare facility licensing in accordance with the requirements of the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) . The role ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, timely processing of applications, and coordination with internal departments and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Licensing
- Manage the complete DHA licensing process for healthcare professionals, including physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, allied healthcare professionals, and technicians.
- Review and verify licensing documents to ensure compliance with DHA requirements.
- Prepare and submit new license applications, renewals, transfers, upgrades, and amendments through DHA portals.
- Coordinate DataFlow verification, Primary Source Verification (PSV), and examination requirements.
- Monitor application status and follow up with DHA for approvals and additional requirements.
- Assist healthcare professionals with registration, eligibility letters, examinations, and licensing procedures.
- Maintain accurate licensing records and ensure timely renewals to avoid license expiration.
- Provide guidance to employees and management regarding DHA licensing regulations and updates.
Healthcare Facility Licensing
- Coordinate healthcare facility licensing applications, renewals, modifications, expansions, and ownership changes.
- Prepare and submit all required documentation for new clinic, medical center, pharmacy, laboratory, and healthcare facility licensing.
- Liaise with DHA inspectors and regulatory authorities during facility inspections and audits.
- Ensure facility compliance with DHA standards, regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Monitor validity of facility licenses, permits, and approvals.
- Coordinate corrective actions arising from inspections and compliance reviews.
- Assist in obtaining approvals for facility design, fit-out, service additions, and operational changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in DHA professional licensing and healthcare facility licensing.
- Strong knowledge of DHA regulations, licensing procedures, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Experience using DHA Sheryan and related regulatory systems.
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of DHA licensing requirements.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and document management expertise.
- Ability to manage multiple licensing processes simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online licensing portals.
