As a Security, Identity & Access Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of secure access controls across complex cloud platforms, ensuring services remain resilient, compliant, and secure. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with team leadership to shape how identity and privileged access is managed at scale. This role requires 3 days in office & can be based in either Manchester or Ipswich SC Clearance eligibility is required What you’ll be doing Lead the delivery of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) across Network Cloud Provide day-to-day leadership to a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on technically Design and implement secure access controls across platforms (Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes) Own and operate privileged access solutions (e.g. CyberArk) Enforce least privilege, RBAC, and secure authentication (SSO, MFA) Drive automation of account lifecycle management using tooling and pipelines Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements (e.g. TSA) Support audit and risk management activities, including resolving findings Collaborate with engineering, security, and vendor teams to improve secure-by-design practices Essential Skills / Experience Proven ability to lead delivery and support a technical team Strong experience in IAM and/or PAM (e.g. CyberArk) Hands-on experience with Linux systems and access controls Experience working in cloud or large-scale infrastructure environments Understanding of security standards, risk, and compliance frameworks Experience in automation and scripting (e.g. Python, Terraform, Ansible) SC Clearance eligibility Desirable Skills / Experience Experience in Network Cloud or telecoms environments Knowledge of TSA or regulated infrastructure environments Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins) Exposure to network security or DDoS platforms Our Package On target 10% on target bonus​ BT Pension scheme, minimum 5% Employee contribution, BT contribution 10%​ From January 2025, equal family leave: receive 18 weeks at full pay, 8 weeks at half pay and 26 weeks at the statutory rate.
