About the Role

  • Multidisciplinary collaboration : Work with a diverse team of specialists, including on-site paediatricians, surgeons, physicians, obstetricians, anaesthetists, and more.
  • Comprehensive care : Manage patient care in collaboration with fellow Rural Generalists, Specialist Consultants, General Practitioners, and Allied Health Professionals.
  • Emergency response : Participate in a 24/7 roster, including Code Blue emergency calls.
  • Teaching and mentorship : Contribute to the training of junior doctors, medical students, and other health professionals.
  • Continuous improvement : Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ensure best-practice care for patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Fellowship with ACRRM or RACGP, or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience in managing adult and paediatric emergencies and inpatient services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
