The Sizewell C Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.#SZCJobs Buyer (Sizewell C) Bachy Soletanche Limited (GSA) Sizewell C Job Responsibilities End‑to‑End Procurement: Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from early supplier engagement and sourcing strategy through to tendering, award and supplier management, ensuring best‑value outcomes. Sourcing & Tendering: Conduct market research and run RFIs, RFQs and ITTs using e‑procurement systems (e.g. Jaggaer), carrying out tender evaluations and making award recommendations based on total cost of ownership. Supplier & Category Management: Build and manage supplier relationships, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across key categories. Commercial & Operational Support: Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with governance, quality and project requirements, while supporting fast‑paced delivery with short lead times. Market Insight & Sustainability: Monitor supply markets to identify risks, opportunities and innovation, while supporting sustainability, environmental, ED&I and Zero Harm objectives across the supply chain. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project, technical and operational teams to understand requirements and deliver a responsive, value‑adding procurement service. Qualifications Studying towards CIPS or a willingness to undertake CIPS (or equivalent) qualifications would be an advantage, but is not essential.
