About the Role HealthMetrics is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Claims Intern (Administrative) to support the Claims Department in day-to-day operations. This internship provides hands-on exposure to healthcare claims administration, document management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination within a fast-paced healthtech environment. Key Responsibilities Claims Administration & Documentation Assist in receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming claims documents, parcels, and correspondence. Support the preparation and arrangement of outgoing documents and courier services, including tracking delivery status when required. Maintain proper filing and storage of claims-related documents in accordance with company guidelines. Retrieve, organize, and track claims documents when requested by the team. Assist in compiling claims documents and supporting information for submission to insurers, providers, and other stakeholders. Follow up on outstanding documents and information required for claims processing. Ensure claims records and documentation are accurately maintained and updated. Data Entry & System Administration Perform data entry and update claims-related information in internal systems and trackers. Ensure information entered is accurate, complete, and updated within the required timeline. Assist in maintaining departmental trackers, logs, and records. Update Zendesk tickets with the correct tags, status, and relevant information in accordance with established guidelines. Support data validation, data cleansing, and record maintenance activities. Collaboration & Communication Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain required information and documentation. Support communication and coordination activities within the Claims Department and across departments. Attend team meetings, discussions, training sessions, and departmental briefings as required. Escalate issues, discrepancies, or missing information to supervisors promptly. Continuous Improvement & Compliance Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and claims handling guidelines. Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and member information at all times. Participate in training sessions, learning activities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Support process improvement initiatives and provide feedback on administrative processes when appropriate. Assist with ad hoc tasks and special projects assigned by the Claims leadership team. Requirements Education Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Insurance, Finance, Medical Administration, or a related field. Skills & Competencies Good organizational and administrative skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Preferred Attributes Interest in healthcare administration, insurance, claims operations, or medical benefits management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and accountability. Internship Details Internship duration: 3 to 6 months Preferred internship duration: 6 months Location: One City, USJ 25, Subang Jaya, Selangor Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Working arrangement: Fully on-site Internship allowance: RM1,000 per month
