Job Location: Prague

Flexibility

Option to work in a hybrid mode or from our Prague office; part-time can be considered (28-32 hours a week)

What you will be doing

As a Junior Accountant, you are one of the key players within the finance team, whose responsibility is to support the finance function in managing accounting tasks among all four GraphAware entities (UK, Czech Republic, Australia, Italy). You are effectively responsible for the accuracy of various financial transactions. You will be a member of our Finance and Operations team, responsible for the accounting agenda, mainly:

Data entry and bookkeeping

Accounts payable/receivable

Bank reconciliation

Cash Flow Monitoring and Payments processing

Intercompany accounting

Fixed assets

Expense reports and Expense Approvals

Tax preparation support

Balance sheet and Profit and Loss review

Month-end and year-end closing

You will report and cooperate closely with the Financial Controller who will provide you with the ability to influence the things we do and support you in result delivery and your professional growth. Gradually you will learn and independently participate in more advanced Accounting transactions, Tax & Compliance agenda, Reporting, Controlling and FP&A activities. You will also be continuously working on streamlining and standardization of processes and looking for improvements. As we are present in different countries, you will deal with people located worldwide and experience different nationalities.

What you must know already and be excited to grow further

1 to 3 years of experience

in corporate finance, a university degree is an advantage

Fluent English

and

  • Czech/Slovak are a must
  • (English is the main language in the company)
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures, IFRS is an advantage
  • International (accounting) environment experience or at least an understanding of the basic principles
  • Outstanding MS Office skills, and overall computer literacy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good understanding of different communication styles and cultural differences (previous experience of living/working abroad might be helpful to understanding our team dynamics)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes
