First Academy Substitute Teacher

**Days and Hours of Employment:**

• Half Day – 7:30am-11:30am or 11:30am-3:30pm
• Full Day – 7:30am-3:30pm
• Monday – Friday

• **Availability:** Substitute teachers may be called as early as 6am on the same day as sub is needed.
• **Pay Rate:** Half Day - $50, Full Day $100
• **Expectations:**

• Reflect a personal faith in Jesus Christ through lifestyle, church commitments and a commitment to Christian education
• Be professional and courteous in dealing with students, families, faculty and staff, and the general public
• Follow all applicable school policies and procedures

**Responsibilities:**

• Take attendance as per teacher instructions
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher
• Communicate with the regular classroom teacher at the end of the day by written note or email to provide an update on material or activities covered
• Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as recess and chapel

**Qualifications:**

• Be a born-again Christian and member of a local church
• High School diploma required
• College education preferred
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Background check required
