Critical Competencies for the position

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance or similar, fluent in written and spoken English
  • Experience in global controlling position
  • Good knowledge in the project controlling area
  • Management of a large number of stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the Volvo Group Businesses and of Product Development projects

Systems

  • General knowledge of Volvo Group financial systems (Essbase / BCS / SAP) and GTT applications in particular (SCORE/Focal Point) is a strength
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Other Experience

Having experience within Financial controlling is a merit and beneficial

Knowledge in the closing process but as well knowledge about Income statement, Balance sheet, Cash flow and R&D capitalization/amortization is strength Within GTT Controlling and Strategy, Range and Project Control supports Truck Product Projects in managing financials of the project portfolio. The team is in charge of driving the profitability analysis and the financial controlling of individual projects and of the range portfolio. The Department is also supporting the GTT project budget and forecast process (project view) in close connection to GTT Product Planning.

The position of Senior Controller R&D and Allocation is an exciting and challenging position monitoring the controlling of the R&D portfolio and the allocation of R&D to the Brands.

This position is a member of the R&PC management team supporting the allocation of R&D to the brands and the products. The position holder will also support the analysis and consolidation of the financial view of the GTT R&D portfolio.

The position holder works closely with a large network of stakeholders: GTT Finance Governance, GTT Product Planning, Product Ranges, the Business Control of the Brands, AB Volvo Business Control and all other functions involved in the analysis and reporting of the R&D portfolio.

The position holder has the responsibility to secure compliance with GTT and Volvo Group financial policies when it comes to allocations of R&D.

Your main operational responsibilities are

Support and develop GTT’s contribution to R&D allocation to the Brands

Secure Allocation of estimates and actuals to the Brands; calculations of R&D surcharge to products and the collaboration with the Brands, product planning and Business Control

Active contribution and participate in the communication to the Brands

Preparation of analysis, reporting of actuals and estimates to the Brands and to the GTT Key Accounts

Support the Financial Governance of the project portfolio

Analyze the status and the forecast of the R&D portfolio, secure management reports, contribute and support in the development of the ways of working with controlling and monitoring of R&D portfolio and product streams

Develop competences, processes and tools to secure the sustainability of the deliverables

Secure R&D Controlling in terms ofInvestment payment forecast (R&D), securing portfolio updates in our internal system, alignment between our estimations and planning tools, Volvo trucks Sales Area analysis for R&D forecasts and actuals
