The opportunity
- We are looking for a Business Advisory Accountant to join our Private Enterprise team in Tauranga.

Day to day you will
- Formulate solutions to client problems and issues and contribute to building a high-performance team culture.
- Oversee and undertake the preparation of a wide range of financial requirements of varying complexity, including preparing annual accounts, tax returns and tax compliance.
- Assist with data gathering and knowledge transfer.
- Deliver quality technical compliance work and support the development of others within the team in the delivery of this work.
About you
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a New Zealand Chartered Accounting environment.
- Hold a relevant tertiary degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Ideally holding on to or working towards CAANZ or CPA membership, or membership of a relevant overseas professional body.
- Competent and literate with the following packages: Microsoft Word, Excel and a computerised accounting system (preferably Xero, XPA, APS or MYOB)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Professional approach to work and strong client focus.
- A team player that values input and support from the team but can also work autonomously.
