Job Title: Mathematics Teacher (IB Middle Years Programme & IB Diploma Programme)

- Proposed Start Date: 1 September 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Minimum Annual Salary: €38,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
SEK International School Dublin is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will inspire students to achieve their highest potential while delivering engaging, high-quality mathematics instruction within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an innovative, student-centred learning environment and contribute to the continued development of the Mathematics Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to students in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP).
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the Mathematics Department.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events and professional development activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Mathematics, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Recognised teaching qualification eligible for Teaching Council registration in Ireland.
- Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level).
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level.
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
- Experience working in an international school environment.
- Ability to contribute to wider school life through extracurricular activities.
