At the Expo City Camps Team, we offer engaging and educational programs for children. Our mission is to create an exciting, safe, and enriching environment that fosters growth, creativity, and fun. Internship Period: 1 July 2026 through 28 August 2026. In this role, you will support a designated group of campers and contribute to delivering a safe, engaging, and smoothly run experience. You’ll help with transitions between activities, assist during workshops, and be a steady point of contact for young campers. This internship offers valuable exposure to program coordination, child engagement, and event operations. Work Schedule: E xpected to work 6 hours per day, 5 days per week. Standard working hours are 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM; however, the schedule may be adjusted based on departmental requirements. The main responsibilities for this role include: Provide operational and logistical support for a specific group of campers aged 5-12 years throughout the day Assist in the movement of campers between scheduled activities in a timely and calm manner Support facilitators during workshops and interactive sessions by helping distribute materials, clarify instructions, or encourage camper engagemen Observe and report camper wellbeing and behavior to senior camp staf Support day-to-day safety practices such as head counts, hydration reminders, and snack/lunch procedure Foster a welcoming and positive environment for all campers Ensure every camper is actively participating and feel supported throughout the camp day Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills required: Excellent communication skills both spoken and written. Reliable, observant, and proactive in ensuring camper safety and engagement Comfortable managing small groups of children and working collaboratively with camp staff Willing to take initiative and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment A team player with a positive attitude Respectful of accessibility and inclusion needs
