Job Description:

Engagement Director, Growth Solutions

Permanent | London or Manchester | Hybrid

About Us

Dentsu is an integrated growth and transformation partner to the world's leading organizations. Founded in 1901 in Tokyo, Japan, and now present in over 145 countries and regions, it has a proven track record of nurturing and developing innovations, combining the talents of its global network of leadership brands to develop impactful and integrated growth solutions for clients. Dentsu delivers end-to-end experience transformation (EX) by integrating its services across Media, CXM and Creative, while its business transformation (BX) mindset pushes the boundaries of transformation and sustainable growth for brands, people and society.

Growth Solutions is an evolving range of products, services and capabilities designed to give advertisers greater certainty and impact in the algorithmic era. It includes proprietary media solutions, marketplaces, strategic services and data products.

Purpose of the Role

We're hiring two Engagement Directors to accelerate agency engagement, client adoption and ultimately commercial growth of our Growth Solutions products and services across dentsu UK. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, you'll help client and agency teams understand, explain, position and adopt these solutions.

This is a hands-on commercial role. You'll own defined clients, agencies, opportunities and workstreams, combining relationship-building and sales enablement with disciplined execution and revenue delivery.

  • Own and progress a portfolio of commercial opportunities, contributing to pipeline and revenue goals and identifying cross-sell and expansion opportunities.
  • Work with client, planning and investment teams to integrate Growth Solutions into briefs, strategies and media plans, supporting go-to-market activity and account approaches.
  • Build trusted client and agency relationships; explain complex media technologies simply and represent Growth Solutions in workshops, pitches and strategic reviews.
  • Champion adoption across Planning, Investment and Client Leadership, translating feedback into actions and recommendations for the wider team.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and L&D on clear messaging, case studies, sales materials and training; coordinate product, commercial and subject-matter expertise for opportunities.
  • Bring market developments, competitor activity and client needs into commercial conversations; build relevant media-owner and technology-partner relationships and support events and thought leadership.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, adoption and commercial reporting, using agreed processes and tools to support sales, onboarding and follow-through.
  • Work with the Head of Engagement and colleagues across Amplifi and agency teams to deliver priorities, remove barriers, share learning and escalate risks, taking accountability for the quality and pace of your work.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Understanding of digital media and advertising, including areas such as CTV, Social, Video and emerging channels, with relevant experience in client engagement, commercial development, sales, planning, investment, activation or a related media discipline.
  • Evidence of contributing to commercial growth, client adoption or new opportunities, translating client needs into relevant solution recommendations.
  • Confident communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the judgement to involve senior colleagues when appropriate.
  • Commercial curiosity, initiative and self-motivation, with a focus on measurable results.
  • Strong organisation and analytical discipline: managing multiple workstreams, maintaining accurate reporting and following through on commitments.
  • Ability to collaborate across Commercial, Investment, Planning and Client Leadership, influencing and mobilising others. Formal people-management experience is not essential.
  • Experience either a media owner, ad-tech business or agency.
