Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst will evaluate financial statements, credit histories, and market data to assess the creditworthiness of corporate and individual clients within the BFSI sector. Working closely with the back‑office team, you will provide actionable insights, ensure compliance with internal policies, and help maintain strong customer relationships through timely and accurate credit decisions.

• Conduct detailed credit assessments using financial statements, credit scores, and industry trends.
• Prepare and present credit risk reports for senior management and lending committees.
• Monitor existing credit portfolios for early warning signs and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Customer Care Executives to address client inquiries related to credit decisions.
• Ensure all credit analyses comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of credit files and audit trails.
• Assist in the development and refinement of credit scoring models and underwriting guidelines.
• Support the back‑office team in processing loan applications and documentation verification.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings to improve credit processes and customer experience.
• Stay updated on market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging credit risks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or risk assessment within BFSI.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and credit analysis software.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as RBI guidelines and Basel norms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a back‑office team.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with experience handling client inquiries.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ICAI) are a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems.
