2028 Internship Program: Investment Banking (Energy) Houston
Cantor Fitzgerald/BGC · Houston, TX, United States
About The Role
Cantor Fitzgerald’s Energy group in Houston advises clients across the upstream, midstream, downstream, and oilfield services verticals on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic alternatives and is seeking a highly motivated summer analyst to join the team for its 2028 summer internship program. The Houston team sits within Cantor’s broader Power, Energy and Infrastructure (PEI) franchise based in New York and London, giving analysts exposure to a global client base.
The Houston office operates as a lean, deal-focused team. Summer Analysts work directly with senior bankers from the first client conversation through closing and are given meaningful responsibility earlier than is typical at larger institutions.
The Cantor Energy Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program running from June through August 2028. Assignments mirror the work of a first-year analyst, and each Summer Analyst is paired with a mentor and receives formal mid-point and end-of-program reviews. Summer Analysts who perform well may be considered for a full-time analyst offer.
Summer Analysts are embedded members of the deal team and contribute across the stages of an engagement, from pitch preparation through execution. The role is analytically demanding and the work is directly tied to live transactions, with day-to-day guidance from analysts, associates, and senior bankers.
