SENIOR DATA INGESTION ENGINEER (FIVETRAN)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Ingestion Engineer (Fivetran) based in India.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Ingestion Engineer to design, implement, and manage reliable data integration solutions across diverse technology environments. In this role, you will build and optimize scalable pipelines that connect SaaS platforms, cloud-based applications, and on-premises systems. You will leverage Fivetran and advanced replication techniques to ensure secure, consistent, and efficient data movement. Your expertise in Oracle databases, non-SAP ecosystems, and Change Data Capture will help strengthen data availability and integrity across business systems. Working in a remote IT services environment, you will take ownership of ingestion performance, connectivity, and operational reliability. Accountabilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines connecting SaaS applications and cloud-based data sources.

Establish and manage secure connectivity between cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure.

Configure, administer, and optimize Fivetran to support reliable and efficient data ingestion.

Develop integration strategies for non-SAP applications and relational database systems.

Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and incremental replication mechanisms to enable timely data synchronization.

Monitor ingestion workflows, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement optimization improvements.

Troubleshoot pipeline failures and connectivity issues to maintain data quality, consistency, and availability.

Requirements:

6+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related IT services roles.

Proven hands-on expertise with Fivetran and other leading data integration platforms.

Strong experience integrating SaaS applications and cloud-based data sources.

Demonstrated ability to establish and manage connectivity with on-premises infrastructure.

Deep understanding of Oracle databases and relational database architectures.

Practical experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) and incremental data replication strategies.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to monitor and optimize complex data pipelines.

Ability to work independently and manage technical challenges in a remote environment.
