Maintain reliable supplier data and consistent verification practices, including secure checks of sensitive changes such as bank details. Review AP and supplier reconciliations, resolve aged differences and investigate blocked invoices, debit balances and other exceptions. Keep AP controls effective and documented, address control gaps and payment risks, and support external auditors as a key AP contact. Coordinate AP month-end activities, including invoice cut-off, accruals and reporting, to ensure accurate accounts and timely closing. Analyse AP balances, ageing and payment performance, explain significant movements and provide forecasts for cash-flow planning. Drive improvements in AP quality, efficiency and service through automation, simpler processes and shared ways of working. Help develop ERP, invoice, expense and payment systems, contributing business requirements and supporting design, testing and implementation. Turn recurring issues into lasting improvements and keep AP procedures, controls and performance measures up to date.
