Teacher Aide

DescriptionOur Lady of Hope Catholic School is seeking a full-time classroom teacher aide to assist the teacher in conducting classroom exercises, tutor students, and maintain order in classroom, cafeteria and on playground.Responsibilities: Implement activities and opportunities to encourage children's curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.Provide care for students' physical, social, and emotional needs while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church. Assist the lead classroom teacher in preparing materials, directing activities, and caring for each student while encouraging spiritual and mental growth to ensure proper development.Participate in and complete required training through professional development opportunities.Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents, and children while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others.Lead children to meet high behavior standards Supervise children indoors and outdoors. Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration.Requirements:Be an active member of a faith community and be a model of the teachings of Jesus.Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset. Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred but not required.
