Facilities Maintenance Technician (NE)

St. Bernardines Roman Catholic Church, located in Baltimore City, seeks candidates for a Maintenance Technician. Under general direction of the Facilities Manager, the part-time, temporary Maintenance Technician will oversee the maintenance of the building. This includes the primary fields of electrical, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, plumbing, etc. This temporary position will work 19 hours per week, and will remain active for approximately 6 weeks.
Essential Functions
Performs basic and routine maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.
Position Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than 3 current points.
A minimum of 5 years of commercial or institutional experience in the identified primary field.
Possession of journey-level certification.
Must be able to move furniture, equipment and other materials weighing up to and more than 100lbs.; to move about within very tight spaces where large and potentially dangerous equipment is stored; to operate various types of manual and power tools and automated systems; and to ascend/descend a ladder as needed.
Pay Rate
: $19.00, Hourly
