Sr Associate - Funding & Liquidity Management

Job Title: Sr. Process Associate Department: Operations Department – Centralized Funding & Liquidity Management Location: Sharjah Job Overview: Responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate and timely processing of funding & customer payments in compliance with internal controls, operational procedures and risk management standards. Additionally, the role includes resolving operational queries, addressing customer concerns, maintaining high service quality and contributing to process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, control and customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Payment Processing Ensure the effectiveness of various modes of payment processing with appropriate controls. Execute the processing of Outward Payment Orders and verifying details for accuracy. Monitor funding activities to ensure timely processing and adherence to applicable service standards. Collaborate closely with the retail branch network to monitor daily branch cash positions and optimum cash stock limits. Resolve operational delays or exceptions related to CIT movements, bank deposit and replenishments. Ensure NBC and other third-party transactions are reconciled and funding done. Responsible for accurate verification of Digital Cheques for rent payments and vendors Responsible for reconciliation and keeping track of all issued/cancelled cheque records. Collaborate closely with the retail branch network to monitor daily branch cash positions and optimum cash stock limits. Compliance and Internal Controls Comply with internal control measures, operational procedures, and risk-free processes at all levels. Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as per guidelines and meet job responsibilities within agreed TAT. Operational Query Resolution Address and resolve day-to-day operational queries from branches includes investigating issues such as delayed payments, rejected transactions, returned funds and provides timely updates to branches to provide status of the payments. Operations Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze operational data to identify funding requirements and support effective fund planning and allocation. Analyze, prepare and maintain operational (CPU) reports and dashboards, providing accurate, timely and visually effective insights to support operational decision-making. Monitor transaction volumes, operational trends, funding requirements and key operational performance indicators. Ensure data accuracy, consistency and timely submission of operational reports. Support Team Leader Regularly add value by supporting the Team Leader in day-to-day activities. Contribute toward system enhancements and participate in process improvement initiatives. Customer Query Resolution Address and resolve Call Center, customer, and branch queries by providing hands-on status updates on transactions and remittances. Process Enhancement & Operational Efficiency Contribute to process enhancements and improvements for increased operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual work and minimize operational errors. Daily Reconciliation Ensure all Inward/Outward Payment Orders for the day are processed, following up on delayed payments and amendments Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Banking or Business Administration. Professional certifications such as Six Sigma will be added advantage. 3-4 years of relevant experience in cash management, liquidity operations, treasury function within exchange or financial institution. Advance proficiency in MS Excel. Deep understanding of retail cash operations and CIT dynamics. Good communication skills. Competencies: Ability to ensure accuracy in transaction processing. Strong problem-solving skills for query resolution. Effective communication skills for addressing customer and internal queries. Ability to collaborate with the team and contribute to process improvements.
