Permits and Licensing Specialist

About The Role
About Landing: Landing is a nationwide hospitality platform where fully furnished apartments meet hotel quality and consistency. Guests book from thousands of apartments in hundreds of US cities, for a week or a year, all backed by 24/7 local support. We partner with property owners across the country, and before many of those homes can host short stays, the city has to sign off. That's where you come in. About the Role: As a Permits and Licensing Specialist , you'll get the city approvals that let our apartments host short stays. In the US, a stay under 30 nights usually needs a permit, a license, or a confirmed exemption from the city first. Your job is to get those approvals done so guests can start booking. This is a closing job, not a research job. Cities go quiet, property managers miss deadlines, and applications can sit for weeks if nobody pushes. You're the person who pushes. Success is simple: more apartments open for short stays every week. You'll work in English every day with city offices and teams across the US, all from our office in Polanco. Why You'll Love It: You own your list from start to finish, from the first form to the day the apartment goes live You see your wins every week, since every approval opens up real homes for guests You work with US teams and US government offices every day, building real English and operations skills You help build our playbook for how each city works, and there's room to grow with us What You'll Own: File: Prepare and submit business license, short term rental, and tax registration applications, including city specific forms, floor plans, and house rules Follow up: Call and email US city and county offices until the permit is issued. Nothing sits without a next step and a date Get homes live: The day a permit is approved, update the apartment's status in our system so guests can book short stays Own renewals: File renewals before they expire, and stop renewals for homes we no longer manage Speak up early: When a partner, a city, or a teammate is holding up approvals, flag it right away. We'd rather hear it early than lose the month Build the city library: Write down each city's rules once so no one has to research the same city twice What You Bring: Fluent English (B2 to C1). You'll be on the phone with US government offices every day. Your resume and application must be in English, and we can't consider ones submitted in other languages A habit of finishing things clean. You've worked a queue, a caseload, or a list of accounts where getting it right mattered as much as getting it done Persistence. Calling the same office four times in a week doesn't bother you, and neither does following up with the same teammate just as often Urgency. You work on what unblocks the most apartments first, not what's easiest Strong organization. You keep your tracker up to date without being asked, and you never miss a deadline Comfort using AI tools every day to speed up research and applications, plus the judgment to double check what they tell you Experience with gestoría or trámites, permits, licensing, compliance, customs paperwork, insurance claims, or loan processing is a plus, but not required Where and When: Full time in our Polanco office in Mexico City. This role is not remote or hybrid Monday to Friday, daytime hours, to line up with US city offices Compensation and Benefits: Salary: Competitive salary based on experience Bonus: Productivity bonus Grocery vouchers: $1,500 MXN net per month Vacation: 12 days per year (available after 90 days) Paid time off: 40 hours per year (available after 30 days) Health insurance: Major medical (MetLife), minor medical (AXA Keralty), dental, and vision Christmas bonus: 30 days Parking: Onsite parking for bikes, motorcycles, and cars Travel perk: $750 USD every year in Landing Stays Growth: Room to grow with us!
