We are seeking an experienced Director of Technology & Application Development to lead our technology operations, oversee application development, and drive the continued growth and performance of our educational technology platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, hands-on technology leader who understands software development, IT operations, cloud technologies, and application management. You will play a key role in shaping our technology roadmap, leading a talented technical team, and ensuring our educational applications deliver a reliable, engaging, and effective user experience.

What You'll Do

• Lead Technology Strategy: Oversee technology platforms, applications, infrastructure, and IT operations while aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals.
• Drive Application Development: Own the ongoing development, maintenance, enhancement, and performance of our educational application.
• Manage & Develop Teams: Lead, coach, and develop software developers and IT support professionals while managing priorities, projects, and team performance.
• Oversee Technology Projects: Manage application roadmaps, system enhancements, integrations, testing, quality assurance, and software releases.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with instructional, curriculum, operations, and client-facing teams to translate business and educational needs into effective technology solutions.
• Ensure Performance & Reliability: Monitor application functionality, availability, usability, scalability, and offline access capabilities.
• Strengthen IT Operations: Oversee technical support, troubleshooting, system maintenance, vendor relationships, and issue resolution.
• Champion Innovation & Security: Evaluate emerging technologies and ensure appropriate cybersecurity, data privacy, accessibility, and technology standards.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a forward-thinking technology professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for developing technology solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT, software development, application management, or a related technology field.
• 3+ years of experience leading and managing technical teams.
• Experience overseeing software applications, IT operations, technology platforms, and system implementations.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure, databases, programming languages, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with development tools and technologies such as Azure DevOps, JavaScript, and C#.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy, access management, and IT best practices.
• Strong project management, strategic planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience in educational technology, learning management systems (LMS), or online learning platforms.
• Experience managing enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, third-party integrations, and technology vendors.
• Experience supporting multiple organizations or clients.
