Job Summary:

The Engineer III develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area in this position. They evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. This position collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments and work on small projects or portions of larger projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform moderate design tasks or lead review tasks
Prepare portions of project documents or provide markups for reviewed documents
Edit or provide review of specifications
Perform research and investigations
Work independently on tasks and use appropriate discretion to elevate concerns and before reaching out to the client
This position may require travel. On occasion, travel to RailPros headquarters, field offices, client offices, work sites and other project related locations may be required
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational values
Uphold the organization’s standards of integrity, accountability, and respect in all duties and interactions
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulation
Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency with electronic communication including email and text, as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
Possess effective oral and written communication skills
Interact with other staff
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Civil3D) is required.
MicroStation, InRail ad OpenRail experience is a plus.
Knowledge of rail industry regulations, codes, and standards.
Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in an international team environment.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Professional License
3+ years prior experience needed

Additional Qualifications, Certifications, etc.:

Diploma or specialized course in Railway Systems.
Basic English preferred.
