Accountant

Join SwissBorg, a leading crypto wealth management platform, as an Accountant. In this role, you will have broad, hands-on responsibility across the full scope of the accounting function, including Accounts Payable, month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany, VAT and tax, and audit preparation. You will work closely with external accounting firms and contribute to strengthening internal controls and improving accounting processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile all-rounder with a strong accounting background and an interest in crypto.

• Own the Accounts Payable process, including supplier invoice review and coding, payment preparation, and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Prepare and manage general ledger entries, accruals, and prepayments, and collaborate with external accounting firms for monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Support VAT and other tax compliance across jurisdictions, prepare audit files, and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.

• Working knowledge of VAT and corporate tax compliance; international or cross-border VAT exposure is a plus
• Experience with multi-entity groups, intercompany accounting and, ideally, consolidation
• Around 5 years of accounting experience, ideally starting at a Big 4 firm in audit or accounting outsourcing
• A strong accounting background: confident with general ledger accounting, closing, reconciliations, accruals and the full accounting cycle
• Experience preparing for and working with external auditors
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and strong Excel skills; familiarity with Xero and ApprovalMax is a plus
• Fluent English (French is a bonus)
• A proactive, detail-oriented and independent working style, comfortable in a remote, international team
• Hands-on Accounts Payable experience; experience coaching or reviewing the work of junior team members is a plus
• Must have an interest in crypto and/or crypto accounting is a plus
