Automation Platform Engineer

Join Jagex, a leading game developer, as an Automation Platform Engineer. In this role, you will build and maintain the development and testing platform automation harnesses that support our engineering teams. You will work closely with other Automation Engineers and engineering teams to reduce manual effort and maximize efficiency through automated tooling. Your responsibilities will include delivering automated development and test harness capabilities, improving and upgrading our automation execution frameworks, and providing reporting and visualization of software quality. • Good understanding of software architecture, distributed systems and microservices, with experience creating developer tooling or shared engineering platforms that improve engineering productivity
• Proven experience designing, developing and maintaining automation platforms, frameworks and tooling within a modern software engineering environment, with strong programming skills in one or more of C#, Java, Python, Go or TypeScript
• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform, and experience implementing quality metrics, reporting dashboards and visualisation tools to measure software quality
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to identify manual processes and replace them with efficient automated solutions
• Strong working knowledge of CI/CD practices (such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity or Azure DevOps), infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (such as Terraform or Ansible), and containerisation and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Demonstrable experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks across functional, integration, API, UI, performance and non-functional testing, grounded in strong testing and quality engineering principles
