CONSULTANCY - To evaluate and propose improvements on institutional organization of the hydrological services in the Dominican Republic - SSA-2026-PDMU-DPPD-17

The CREWS project in the Dominican Republic aims to strengthen hydrometeorological and climate services, as well as multi-hazard early warning systems, within the country. Given the need to enhance the operational and institutional capacities of national services, the WMO requires targeted support to conduct an institutional assessment and propose improvements for the reorganization of the national hydrological services (NHS), which is under the National Institute of Water Resources (INDRHI). The approach focuses on optimizing the organizational structure to ensure effective operation, with an emphasis on improving processes and practices related to hydrometeorological data management, monitoring, and forecasting, as well as the development and provision of information to support decision-making.
