About The Role

Caseware is one of Canada's original Fintech companies, having led the global audit and accounting software industry for over 30 years, with more than 500,000 users across 130 countries and available in 16 different languages. While you might not have heard of us (yet) over 36,000 accounting and audit professionals list Caseware as a skill on their LinkedIn profiles!
Are you passionate about accounting, financial reporting, and finding better ways to get things done? Do you enjoy working with technology and exploring how digital tools can make everyday tasks easier for accounting professionals?
At Caseware, we're looking for a Solution Author I to join our team in Denmark and help shape the next generation of cloud-based accounting and financial reporting solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in accounting or audit who wants to apply their professional knowledge in a new way. Rather than preparing financial statements for clients, you'll help build and improve the tools that accounting professionals use every day.
You'll work alongside experienced colleagues across Product, Development, and Content teams, turning Danish accounting requirements into practical, intuitive solutions that make a real difference for our customers.

What you will do:

Develop and enhance accounting solutions: Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and improvement of Caseware's cloud-based accounting and financial reporting solutions for the Danish market.

Apply your accounting expertise: Translate Danish accounting standards, legislation, and financial reporting requirements into accurate, user-friendly software content and workflows.

Support financial reporting development: Help expand our existing Class B financial statements model to support Class C companies, ensuring solutions meet local regulatory and reporting requirements.

Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other Solution Authors to transform accounting requirements into functional product improvements.

Test and ensure quality: Review and validate financial reporting templates, calculations, and workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

Improve the user experience: Identify opportunities to simplify accounting processes, reduce manual work, and make our solutions more efficient and intuitive.

Stay informed: Keep up to date with changes in Danish accounting regulations and industry practices, helping ensure our solutions remain relevant and compliant.

Explore innovation: Use emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to support content development, improve workflows, and identify new opportunities for automation.

What you will bring:

A background in accounting or audit: Education or professional experience in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or a related field.

Knowledge of Danish accounting requirements: A good understanding of Danish financial reporting standards, particularly the Danish Financial Statements Act (Årsregnskabsloven) and reporting requirements for Class B and/or Class C companies.

An interest in technology: Curiosity about accounting software, digital solutions, automation, and how technology can improve the way finance professionals work.

Analytical thinking: Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand accounting requirements, identify inconsistencies, and solve problems.

A collaborative mindset: Enjoyment of working with colleagues from different professional backgrounds and contributing to shared goals.

A willingness to learn: Motivation to develop new skills, explore unfamiliar tools, and grow within a technology-driven environment.

Communication skills: Ability to explain accounting concepts clearly and translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Language skills: Fluency in Danish and a good working knowledge of English.

Nice to have:

Experience preparing or reviewing annual financial statements for Danish companies.

Familiarity with Caseware or other accounting and financial reporting software.

Experience with financial reporting templates, accounting systems, or process improvement.

An interest in AI, automation, or digital transformation within the accounting industry.
